Ingredients
- Pork ribs: About 300g, cut into sections
- Bitter melon: 1 piece, deseeded and cut into large pieces
- Ginger: 1 piece, sliced
- Red dates: 4-5 pieces
- Green onion: 1 stalk, cut into sections
- Garlic: 4 cloves, crushed
- Beef Bone Broth: 1 pack
Seasonings:
- Salt
- Cooking rice wine
Cooking Instructions
- Remove the seeds from the bitter melon and cut it into large pieces. Blanch it in boiling water with 1 tablespoon of salt for 1 minute, then remove and set aside.
- Tips: Blanching helps reduce some of the bitterness, and adding salt helps keep the bitter melon green.
- Place the pork ribs in cold water, add green onion, ginger, and cooking wine, blanch to remove blood, then drain and set aside.
- In a clay pot, add the Beef Bone Broth and an appropriate amount of water, then add the pork ribs, ginger slices, and red dates. Bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
- Add the bitter melon pieces and continue simmering over low heat for another 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Finally, season with salt, sprinkle with chopped green onions, and serve. Enjoy!
