Preserved Mustard Green with Fish
Preserved Mustard Green with Fish|Bright, Tangy Comfort in a Bowl
Craving that tangy, cozy bowl of sauerkraut-style fish you can’t stop thinking about? Our Preserved Mustard Green with Fish is built for exactly that feeling — bright, savory, and just spicy enough to warm you all the way through.
- Fresh grass carp fillets:Carefully selected and trimmed for a tender, silky bite.
- House-style preserved mustard greens:Bold and tangy without being harsh, they’re the “soul” of the broth.
- Layered add-ins:Crisp bean sprouts, enoki mushrooms, and wood ear mushrooms for plenty of texture in every spoonful.
- Built-in aromatics:Chili oil, pickled chiles, garlic, and aged vinegar bring out a deep, complex sour-spicy aroma.
- Signature beef bone broth base:We use BROTH’s classic beef bone broth as the foundation, for a rich, savory soup that’s full of body but not heavy or greasy.
The result is a bowl that’s tangy, savory, lightly spicy, and incredibly comforting — perfect with a big bowl of steamed rice on the side. It’s made with no added preservatives and a lower-oil profile, so it feels bright and appetite-boosting instead of overly heavy.
Kind reminder:The fish has been carefully cleaned and trimmed, but small bones may still be present. Please eat slowly and chew well. Extra care is recommended when serving children or older adults.

Storage & Heating Instructions (Frozen Product) – Click to expand
Storage
- Keep frozen:Place in the freezer as soon as your order arrives.
- For best flavor and quality, enjoy before the “best by” date printed on the package.
Method 1:Stovetop Heating (Recommended)
- Remove the frozen pouch from the freezer and let it thaw slightly in the fridge or at room temperature until you can cut it open.
- Cut open the pouch and pour all contents (broth, fish, and vegetables) into a pot.
- Heat over medium to medium-low heat, gently stirring the broth from time to time to prevent sticking. Try not to break up the fish pieces too much.
- Bring to a full, rolling simmer and make sure the fish is completely heated through.
- Optional:Top with fresh scallions, cilantro, or extra chiles for added aroma and color.
Method 2:Rice Cooker / Electric Cooker
- Let the pouch thaw slightly, then cut open and pour into a heat-safe inner pot or bowl with a lid.
- Place the bowl into your rice cooker, add about ½–1 cup of water to the outer pot, and turn it on.
- After it switches to “warm,” let it sit for another 5 minutes, then check that both broth and fish are fully hot.
Method 3:Hot Water Bath
- Allow the frozen pouch to soften slightly so it’s not rock-hard.
- Place the sealed pouch into a pot of gently boiling water, making sure it is fully submerged.
- Heat over medium heat for about 10–15 minutes, depending on pouch size and thickness.
- Carefully remove, cut open, and pour into a pot or serving bowl. If you like the soup very hot, you can briefly bring it back to a simmer on the stovetop.
Note:Stove strength and cookware vary. For your first time, keep an eye on it and adjust heating time as needed. If you add extra ingredients like mushrooms, tofu, or vegetables, be sure to extend cooking time so everything is fully cooked.
We do not recommend heating this product directly in the microwave, as the soup and fish may heat unevenly and the texture and flavor can be affected.
Gentle Notes & Eating Tips – Click to expand
- This product contains fish and may also include soy sauce (soy/wheat), chili, garlic, and other seasonings. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions related to these ingredients, please review the ingredient list on the package before enjoying.
- Even though the fish is carefully prepared, small bones may still be present. Please eat slowly and chew thoroughly. When serving children or elders, we recommend extra supervision and care.
- This dish is naturally sour and lightly spicy. If you have a sensitive stomach, acid reflux, or don’t tolerate spicy foods well, consider starting with a smaller portion and eating it with extra rice to soften the intensity.
- Once fully heated, it’s best to enjoy the dish the same meal. If you have leftovers, cool completely, store in the refrigerator, and finish as soon as possible. Avoid repeated thawing and multiple rounds of reheating to maintain both flavor and food safety.
