We start by slow-simmering a rich broth made from beef bones and pork bones, with no artificial flavor enhancers. Then we deepen the flavor by adding our signature Organic Chicken Essence, so every bite not only tastes more savory and rounded, but also brings a little extra nourishment to your everyday table — a way to gently take care of you, even on your most tired, busy days.

To build even more depth, we use dried flatfish (a classic ingredient that’s hard to find in the U.S.): we lightly toast it, then grind it into a fine powder so that its toasty ocean richness melts right into the broth instead of sitting on top. On top of that, we add premium dried scallops from Hokkaido, giving the dish a delicate, natural sweetness from the sea.

Cooking Instructions (Frozen, Ready-to-Heat) – Click to expand

1. Stovetop Heating (Recommended)

  • Remove the braised napa cabbage from the freezer and let it thaw slightly in the fridge or at room temperature until the pouch can be opened.
  • Open the package and pour the contents into a pot. If you prefer a bit more broth, you may add a small amount of drinking water.
  • Heat over medium to medium-low heat, stirring gently from time to time, until the dish comes to a full boil and everything is heated through.
  • You can add extra mushrooms, tofu, glass noodles, or your favorite hot pot ingredients to make it even more hearty and generous.

2. Rice Cooker / Electric Cooker

  • Let the pouch thaw slightly, then cut it open and pour the contents into a heat-safe bowl or inner pot. Cover with a lid.
  • Place the bowl into the rice cooker, add about half a cup of water to the outer pot, and start the cooker.
  • When it switches to “warm,” let it sit for a few minutes, then check to make sure the cabbage and broth are fully hot before serving.

3. Hot Water Bath

  • Allow the frozen pouch to soften slightly at room temperature or in the fridge.
  • Place the unopened pouch into a pot of simmering water, making sure the water level fully covers the pouch.
  • Heat over medium heat for about 8–10 minutes, or until the contents are thoroughly hot.
  • Carefully remove, cut open the pouch, and pour into a serving bowl before enjoying.

  • Both online and phone orders must be placed before Thursday of each week no later than 1:00PM(13:00). After 1:00PM (13:00) it will be considered shipment for Monday.
  • Shipping days are from Monday through Thursday. No weekend shipping (Friday through Sunday). Depending on order date chicken essence will arrive Tuesday through Friday of each week.
  • We do not process orders on all major holidays. ALL methods are done within business days.
  • We ship via FedEx Next Day Air only.
  • Please allow 2-3 business days for processing orders
