Braised Minced Meat (2 packs)
Braised Minced Meat|The Little Pork That Makes Every Bite of Rice Better
In a lot of homes, the question “Is there minced pork today?” is basically another way of asking, “Is there comfort food today?” Our Braised Minced Meat is that kind of classic – the one that makes kids light up and rice disappear.
We start with quality pork, finely minced but still with a nice, meaty texture, then braise it low and slow with sweet-savory pickled cucumber (hua gua) and a soy-based sauce. The result is a savory, gently sweet mince that’s full of flavor but not overly salty or greasy – the kind you “taste test” and suddenly realize you’ve eaten half your bowl of rice.
It’s a favorite with kids, but grown-ups love it just as much. Spoon it over hot rice, toss it with noodles, mix it into congee, pack it in lunchboxes, or use it as a filling for rice balls. Keep a pack in the freezer and you’re always one quick reheat away from an easy, homey, seriously satisfying meal.
※ Photos are for serving suggestions. Actual product contains braised minced meat only – rice, vegetables, eggs, and other toppings are not included.
Cooking Instructions (click to expand)
This product is a fully cooked braised minced meat pack. Simply thaw and reheat before serving. Perfect over rice, noodles, congee, or as a lunchbox side.
Microwave heating is not recommended, as it can cause uneven heating and affect flavor and texture.
1️⃣ Stovetop (most recommended)
- Transfer the pack from the freezer to the refrigerator or leave at room temperature until thawed and soft.
- Cut open the pouch and pour the minced meat and sauce into a small pot.
- Heat over low to medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is gently bubbling and the mince is hot throughout.
- Taste and, if desired, add a splash of water to adjust the thickness or a pinch of pepper. Spoon over hot rice or noodles and serve immediately.
2️⃣ Hot Water Bath (less cleanup)
- Let the pouch thaw partially or fully in the fridge or at room temperature.
- Without opening the pouch, place the sealed pack into a pot of boiling water.
- Make sure the water fully covers the pouch and keep at a gentle boil for about 5–8 minutes.
- Carefully remove, cut open, and pour the minced meat over rice, noodles, or vegetables.
3️⃣ Electric Cooker / Rice Cooker (hands-off option)
- Thaw the pouch, then cut it open and transfer the contents into a small, heatproof bowl that fits inside your rice cooker.
- Place the bowl in the inner pot, add about half a cup of water to the outer pot, and turn the cooker on.
- When it switches to “warm,” stir the mince and check that it’s fully heated through. If needed, run one more short cycle.
※ For best flavor, heat until the sauce is gently bubbling and the mince is hot all the way through before serving.
Tips & Notes (click to expand)
- Store in the freezer upon arrival and follow the storage instructions on the package. Avoid leaving the product at room temperature for extended periods.
- Once opened and reheated, do not refreeze. If you have leftovers, refrigerate and enjoy within 1–2 days.
- It’s normal for fat to solidify or the sauce to become jelly-like when chilled — it will melt back into a smooth, glossy sauce once heated.
- This product contains pork and may contain soy, wheat, or other allergens. Please refer to the ingredient list on the package for full allergen information.
