General Heating Instructions (Frozen Soups & Stews) – Click to expand
All items in this set are frozen, fully cooked soups, stews, or broth bases. They simply need to be reheated until piping hot. You can adjust water level and add noodles, rice, or vegetables depending on how you like to serve them.
1. Stovetop (Recommended)
- Remove a pack from the freezer and let it thaw slightly in the fridge or at room temperature until you can open the pouch.
- Cut open the pouch and pour the contents into a pot.
- For broth bases (Golden Chicken Broth, Beef Bone Broth): add water as needed depending on whether you’re making noodle soup, congee, or hot pot.
- For ready-to-serve soups / dishes (Sesame Oil Chicken Soup, Braised Beef Soup, Thirty Spices Chef Spicy Fermented Tofu): you can heat as is, or add extra vegetables, tofu, noodles, or other ingredients.
- Heat over medium to medium-low, stirring gently, until the soup comes to a full boil and everything is heated through.
2. Rice Cooker / Electric Cooker
- Thaw the pouch enough to open it, then pour the contents into a heat-safe bowl or inner pot and cover.
- Place into your cooker, add about ½–1 cup of water to the outer pot (depending on cooker size), and turn it on.
- When it switches to “warm,” let it sit a few minutes and then check that the soup or stew is thoroughly hot before serving.
3. Hot Water Bath
- Allow the frozen pouch to soften slightly until it’s no longer rock-solid.
- Place the unopened pouch into a pot of gently boiling water, making sure the water covers it completely.
- Heat for about 8–12 minutes, depending on pouch size and thickness.
- Carefully remove, cut open, and pour into a bowl or pot. Enjoy immediately, or briefly simmer with extra ingredients if desired.
※ For first-time tasting, we recommend heating each soup without extra water (or with very minimal water) to understand its original seasoning level, then adjusting next time to match your preferences.

- After defrosting the soup, pour soup into a pot along with chicken drumsticks and seasonal vegetables of your choice. Bring everything to a boil.
- Microwave: Pour defrosted soup into a microwaveable safe container, place lid with ventilation holes, and microwave for 5-7 minutes (1300W microwave oven).
- Electric cooker: Pour frozen soup into the cooker and heat.
- Water-heating: Once the frozen soup is thawed, place the entire heat safe bag into a boiling pot of water enough to cover the entire surface. Heat over medium heat for 3-5 minutes.
Braised Beef Soup(with Beef Shank), Braised Beef Tendon, Thirty Spices Chef Spicy Fermented Tofu, Frozen Baked Sweet Potato, Braised Napa Cabbage:
- After defrosting the soup and shank, pour it into a pot. Bring everything to a boil.

Braised Minced Pork, Braised Beef Shank, Braised Pork Knuckle:

- Electric cooker: Place frozen minced pork into the cooker and heat.
- Water-heating: Once the frozen minced pork is thawed, place the entire heat safe bag into a boiling pot of water enough to cover the entire surface. Heat over medium heat for 3-5 minutes.

- Both online and phone orders must be placed before Thursday of each week no later than 1:00PM(13:00). After 1:00PM (13:00) it will be considered shipment for Monday.
- Shipping days are from Monday through Thursday. No weekend shipping (Friday through Sunday). Depending on order date chicken essence will arrive Tuesday through Friday of each week.
- We do not process orders on all major holidays. ALL methods are done within business days.
- We ship via FedEx Next Day Air only.

- On the delivery day, the dispatch will send a text message with estimated arrival time of the day so you can plan your day better. (Delivery is generally made between 9 am to 6 pm)

- All frozen goods are shipped Next Day Air (except for special seasonal items)

All orders placed are Non-refundable due to the nature of fresh products unless quality issues.
Broth will package our frozen products with insulated bags and ice gel packs to maintain the freshness of the products, however, we are not able to guarantee the items will stay in frozen state upon arrival. Please be advised that as long as the items are below 41F, it is safe to consume.
